What's New
“The instructors at the Newburgh, NY Camp, Red Gendron and Paul O'Dacre, managed a perfect balance of intensity and fun. For Richard, my 9 year old, it was his first ‘all day camp’ and he enjoyed every minute of it.”
“I think the true measure of any camp is the desire for the kids (and the parents) to ‘Do it again’. We look forward to your return to Newburgh in 2007!”

“Aaron had a great time at the camp… He learned a lot of drills and skills that he took back to his hockey coach, which they are now using. He demonstrated the exercise routines and insisted that I try them, (I think I would have left the first day). He felt the drills and the program were very beneficial and still talks about what he learned and is capable of presently using what he has learned…He told me that he is interested in returning in the summer…I will be waiting to hear later from you.”

“I will be happy to comment on the… (Huron Hockey) clinic my 15 year old son attended. I found your instructors were a bit tough on the kids, how refreshing. These ‘kids’ were mostly High School students therefore old enough to be responsible for their own actions. Too many times there are what I call ‘professional campers’ at these types of clinics. They are usually quite disruptive to all. Most instructors spend quite a lot time concerning themselves on what to do with these types of students. Your instructors rightly spent no time concerning themselves with these students they spent their time on the students who came to learn. The instructors on ice were quite capable of both explaining & demonstrating the drills to be performed. Rather then explain the drill to the entire group for fear of hurting one campers feelings, the one camper was singled out as the offender. To some a lot of what I am explaining may sound a bit harsh, but to the campers like my son who came to learn this was a breath of fresh (ice cold) air.”
“As to the actual off ice talks & on ice drills they were efficiently run. The drills were some of the best I've seen as each drill seemed to not only have a purpose, but each drill led progressively into the next drill. By the time they got to the scrimmage the campers had a whole new bag of tricks to work on - Most Impressive! Not only did I obviously notice this from my vantage point in the stands but so did my son from the very first day. The head instructor was nothing more then one of the best I've seen for this type of clinic, I can think of no way to improve on his performance. He is and was Huron Hockey’s best salesman - after all I am now completely sold on your program. I am glad you sent this e-mail for I had meant to contact you on my own.”
