Passing of a Legend

It was with great sadness we learned of the passing of a Huron legend. Bill McPhail succumbed to a long battle with kidney disease but his memory will live on forever. Everyone at Huron has a “Billy” story to tell and or reminisce about as he was a true friend to everyone from the students, to the parents, to the office staff, and of course to every on ice member of Huron’s instructional team. His final act was watching over last Saturday’s match, with his good friend Shawn Walsh and of course the “big guy” himself, in which Michigan State (Billy’s favorite of course)captured the 2007 NCAA Frozen Four Championship where Billy would have been had health allowed.

Billy you will be missed but never forgotten. You touched so many people along your travels with Huron.
