Goalie Program
The Huron goaltending curriculum has been revamped to address the needs of goaltenders
in today’s fast paced game. We teach the latest in goaltending fundamentals with an
emphasis on efficient skating movements and save selection, consistent positioning and
rebound control and effectiveness of playing the puck. This proven goaltending system
was developed by former Huron student and current Assistant Coach and Goaltending
Coach at Canisius College (NCAA Division 1), Greg Fargo.
The Huron Goalie Program is the only goaltender program designed to offer instructional
curriculum, incorporating game situations. That's right goalies; you get to see pucks in
game situations and action.
The first on ice session is designed to cover all the facets necessary in helping you
become a rock solid goalie while the off ice curriculum is designed with the goalie in
mind only. Then you're on to practicing what we teach during the regular players programs.
What a great way to learn the game's toughest position, from players who know it
and understand it.
